Chain Reaction: Cycling for Middelburg Care Village

The Munga 2025

🚴‍♀️ One Ride. One Mission. One Chain Reaction.

I’m Catherine Juon—EOS Implementer® and lifelong believer in traction, discipline, and impact—not just in business, but in life. That belief led me to co-found Empowering Change, where we help hope-driven visionaries and social impact organizations break through barriers and create real, lasting impact by leveraging the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS®).

Now, I’m taking that mission beyond the boardroom and onto the bike—riding in The Munga, one of the toughest ultra-endurance mountain bike races on the planet. Why? To raise critical donations for the education, opportunity, and future of the children at Middelburg Care Village in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa.

The children of Middelburg Care Village didn’t choose the obstacles they face—loss, instability, and the heavy burden of poverty. But they haven’t stopped pedaling. They keep showing up, hoping for a future beyond the limits of their circumstances.

Saint Peter Christian College is the gear shift they need—offering stability, small class sizes, and a values-based education that nurtures not just academics, but confidence, resilience, and belonging.

This is where the chain reaction starts. Your donation powers more than just tuition—it delivers resources and support, restoring possibility to lives too often defined by limitations.

We’re riding 1,100 km across South Africa — not for medals, but to raise $40,000 to fund one full year of tuition at Saint Peter Christian College for the children of Middelburg Care Village

Every dollar is like another turn of the crank. It keeps the wheels moving. It keeps hope alive. And it proves to these kids that they’re not riding this road alone.

Join us.

Be the push that powers their ride toward a brighter, more just future.

P.S. If you’re part of a company that believes in equity and impact, consider matching donations or becoming a sponsoring partner. It’s a powerful way to double the momentum and show your commitment to real change. Every ride needs a strong team—let’s make this one unstoppable.

💛 Why It Matters

Every child deserves a chance to grow, learn, and dream beyond their circumstances. With your support, we can break barriers and open doors for the kids of Middelburg Care Village. This is more than a charity ride—it’s about giving back in a deeply meaningful way.

📚 The Reality of Education in South Africa

📌 Only 50% of students who start school in South Africa make it to Grade 12.

📌 More than 60% of children can’t read for meaning by age 10—making literacy a national crisis.

📌 Unemployment among youth (15-24) is over 60%, largely due to lack of education and skills.

Education is more than just books and classrooms—it’s the difference between struggle and success, between uncertainty and opportunity. For many poor and vulnerable children, it’s the bridge to a better life.

🎯 The Chain Reaction Starts Here

Your donation fuels more than a race — it sets lives in motion.

When you give, you’re giving back in the most powerful way—sparking a chain reaction that changes everything for African children who deserve a chance at a brighter future.

  • $125 covers tuition for one month — so one student can learn, grow, and believe again.

  • $3,250 ensures 26 children stay in school, supported by resources they often lack, and equipped to rise beyond poverty.

  • $39,000 covers a full year of tuition for all 26 Middelburg Care Village students — a year of showing up to class, being surrounded by possibility, and daring to believe in a different future.

Any amount adds power to the pedals and keeps the momentum going. ❤️
